cup of tea surrounded by Fall leavesThe warm comforting aroma of this Spiced Chai Tea Essential Oil Blend makes it perfect to use in your diffuser when fall kicks in and the temperatures start to drop.

As with all essential oil blends, this spiced chai tea blend does more than just infuse the space with a wonderful seasonal scent. You also get the benefits of the essential oils that go into creating the blend.

This chai tea essential oil blend is inspired by the traditional spiced tea that you can find in any diner across India, from the small roadside cafes to the five-star fine-dining restaurants.  The traditional ‘Chai’ concoction is prepared by brewing the tea leaves along with a mix of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and ginger powders. The result is a richly-flavored, deeply satisfying cup of spiced chai tea.

That’s the exact combination of essential oils that are used in the chai tea blend. It has a classic cinnamon and spice scent, perfect for diffusing in your home during this time of year.

Recipe for Chai Tea Essential Oil Blend

2 drops Cinnamon
2 drops Clove
2 drops Cardamom
2 drops Ginger

Add 2 drops of each oil into a dark-colored glass bottle. Close the cap tightly.

When you want to infuse the space with the aroma of the Chai Tea blend, add the recommended amount of oil into the diffuser container, and switch the unit on.

This article on How To Use An Essential Oil Diffuser has useful tips on using your diffuser the right way including how many drops to use.

You can adjust the scent of the blend by adding more or fewer drops of each oil, depending on which scents you like most.

Go easy when changing the quantities though, especially when adding extra cinnamon essential oil or clove essential oil. Both of these oils have very strong aromas and will overpower the scents of cardamom and ginger if you add too much. Add just one drop at a time to adjust the scent.
