When creating aromatherapy gift baskets, you don’t want them all to look the same or to have the same contents. The beauty of these baskets is that you can customize them for each person on your list depending on their needs and preferences. With that in mind, the first thing you will need to do is explore aromatherapy gift ideas for each basket. This is really the fun part of this process! It’s when you can get creative and choose items that reflect the theme for the different aromatherapy baskets.

First…Think About the Size of Your Container

Before looking at aromatherapy gift ideas for your basket, you must think about the size of your container.

Although you will be buying the container after you’ve decided what items you are gifting each person, you should give some thought to the type and size of the container you’ll be using.

Take a look at the different types of containers you can use to create your customized aromatherapy gift basket.

If you are planning on gifting a large basket, you are not limited as to what you can put in it. You could include a few large items such as an aromatherapy diffuser, bottles of bath scrubs, body butters and salt scrubs, spa candles, with plenty of smaller items as fillers.

Naturally, you may not want to gift such large baskets to everyone on your list. For the smaller baskets, choose a variety of smaller aromatherapy-related items, such as individual bottles of essential oils, aromatherapy jewelry, or a scented drawer sachet.

I cannot overstate the importance of keeping your budget in mind when looking for aromatherapy gift ideas. The second most important thing to consider is your recipient’s preferences. Think about what they will like and use when adding things to their customized gift basket.

Next, it’s time to start looking at the different aromatherapy gift ideas and decide what you’re going to add to your customized gift baskets.

Aromatherapy Gift Ideas: Christmas Themed Essential Oils & Blends

The most common items to include in all of your aromatherapy gift baskets are one or more bottles of Christmas-themed essential oils and blends. While you will also be adding in candles, drawer sachets and other scented items using the oils, adding one or two bottles of essential oils is a versatile addition to the basket. Your recipient can use it in so many different ways – in their diffuser, in the bath, or in various DIY projects.

Lavender, chamomile, vanilla, and lemon are the more popularly used essential oils. These make an excellent addition to any aromatherapy basket. You know for sure they will be used.

If you are putting together a Christmas gift basket, you may want to add a couple of these seasonal essential oils: Fir Needle, Pine, Cypress, Nutmeg, Sweet Orange, Peppermint, Cinnamon, and Cedarwood.

These all of these essential oils have distinctive Christmas aromas, you can take this concept one step further and add essential oil blends instead.

Christmas Themed Essential Oil Blend Sets

When looking for essential oil blends to add to your aromatherapy gift basket, you have two choices. You can either include individual bottles of Christmas scents or a set of Christmas-themed blends. Here are a few ideas for both.

Holiday Set of 6 Premium Grade Fragrance Oils by P & J Trading – This set includes 10 ml each of Mistletoe, Candy Cane, Wintermint, Apple Cider, Cranberry, and Forest Pine essential oil blends packed in a sleek gift packaging.

Winter Essential Oil Set of 6 Fragrance Oils by Good Essentials – With this set, you get 10ml each of 6 seasonal favorites – Christmas Wreath Pine, Vanilla, Peppermint, Cinnamon, Sugar Cookie, and Gingerbread.

Winter Wishes Essential Oil Holiday Blend Set by Plant Therapy – Another set inspired by distinctive Holiday scents – Christmas Tree, Holly Berries and Three Gifts.

Christmas Themed Individual Essential Oil Blends

These are Christmas themed blends you can buy individually

Christmas Tree Holiday Blend 10 ml by Plant Therapy

Holiday Christmas Cookie Essential Oil Blend 30 ml by Woolzies

Candy Cane Holiday Blend 10 ml by Plant therapy

You just can’t go wrong with adding essential oils in your aromatherapy gift basket and as you can see you have plenty of choices, whether you decide to go with individual Christmas themed essential oils, single bottles of essential oil blends or Holiday-themed blend sets.

Aromatherapy Diffusers

Adding an aromatherapy diffuser will allow your recipient to enjoy the diffused aroma of whichever oil or blend you’ve added to their basket. The good news is you don’t have to pay a whole lot to buy a good quality aromatherapy diffuser.

I’ve put together a list of top-rated essential oil diffusers that cost less than $25.  All of these have received great reviews on Amazon by actual users so it’s like they’ve already been vetted. One of the essential oil diffusers you’ll find on the list has more than 35,000 reviews and it costs less than $16.

Go through the list to find some really great, budget-friendly diffusers for your aromatherapy gift basket.

Aromatherapy Candles

The biggest problem I encountered while searching for candles? There were so many fabulous options at great prices too! It was tough narrowing down that list. The aromatherapy candles I finally shortlisted had excellent ratings and long burn times.

Bath & Body Works, Aromatherapy Stress Relief 3-Wick Candle scented with Eucalyptus & Spearmint – This candle is 4″ wide x 3 1/2″ tall and has a burn time of 25-45 hours. I absolutely love this Bath & Body Works Candle.

Chesapeake Bay Candles – Chesapeake Bay makes some of the most divine scented range of aromatherapy candles. These are poured into pastel frosted glass candles that allow the light of the flame to shine through in a soft glow. You can see the full Chesapeake Bay range of candles here. Most of these have earned more than 2,200 five-star ratings, which is a testimony to their high quality.

Yankee Candles – Yankee Candles is another well-known make of aromatherapy candles. Their candles are known for their gorgeous bold looks and distinctive scents. And their range of Holiday candles is absolutely stunning!

Lulu Candles – No list of aromatherapy candles is complete without mentioning Lulu Candles. These premium scented candles come packed in sleek gift boxes so you can even gift them on their own.
