Cinnamon is among the more popular Christmas essential oils and while it can be diffused by itself during the Holidays, I prefer the complex aroma of this fusion blend rather than diffusing cinnamon by itself.

Sweet orange adds fresh, sweet notes to the blend while ginger adds a sharp refreshing zing. It’s perfect for lifting your mood and filling your space with inviting warmth!

Cinnamon Fusion Essential Oil Blend Recipe

bottles of cinnamon, orange, and ginger essential oils to make a diffuser blend

The basic cinnamon fusion diffuser blend recipe uses 3 essential oils:

3 drops Cinnamon: The star of the show, cinnamon provides a rich, spicy aroma.
2 drops Sweet Orange: This oil adds a cheerful, citrusy note, balancing the spice of the cinnamon.
1 drop Ginger: Ginger offers a warm, slightly spicy accent, perfect for the fall and winter seasons.

You can add more or fewer drops of each oil to adjust the aromas, but cinnamon should be the strongest scent in this particular blend.

Adding too much of the other oils and too little cinnamon will change the scent profile.

Customizing The Basic Blend Recipe

While the basic recipe is a great starting point, you can customize it to suit your preferences:

Add a drop of Vanilla CO2 Extract for a sweeter, more gourmand-like scent.

Add one drop of Clove or Nutmeg essential oil for a more intense, spicy aroma.

Important Note: Less is more when adding Clove or Nutmeg essential oil. These oils are potent, and adding too much can overpower the blend. Add one drop at a time and add more onlyif necessary.

Enjoy Your Cozy Atmosphere With this simple recipe, you can create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your home. Remember to adjust the quantities of each oil to your liking.

KidSafe Sets and Essential Oils at Plant Therapy

Essential oils, while beneficial, can be potent substances. It’s crucial to use them safely, especially for pregnant women, children, and individuals with sensitivities.

If you intend to use this blend in any homemade skin care products, dilute it in carrier oil before applying it to the skin. This can help minimize the risk of skin irritation.

Before using a new essential oil topically, perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any allergic reactions.

Consult with a healthcare professional before use if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you’re using this blend around children, use oils from Plant Therapy’s KidSafe essential oil line. These are specially formulated for safe usage on younger kids.
