This DIY Sweet & Subtle Body Butter combines a perfect blend of jasmine and vetiver. These two complementary scents provide this body butter with the antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antiseptic support it needs to melt into your skin and strengthen all of its layers.
Throw together the simple recipe below and apply regularly for beautiful and radiant skin that smells heavenly!
8 drops Jasmine Essential Oil
8 drops Vetiver Essential Oil
1 cup Coconut Oil (solid)
1 cup Shea Butter
1 cup Almond Oil
Melt the shea butter and coconut oil together over low to medium heat until the combination is smooth and without lumps.
Remove the mixture from heat and add in the jasmine oil, vetiver oil, and almond oil, stirring gently until well blended.
When it is completely cooled, scoop the body butter into a glass jar. Cover and store in a cool, dry place.
Apply over dry skin areas including your elbows, feet, and cuticles.
The body butter will become firm after 2 to 3 days if you let it sit and that’s okay.
The product is good for a week, but you can extend its shelf-life by storing in the fridge and/or using an oil soluble preservative.
